Factual and action taken report of Joint Committee in the matter of Original Application No. 32/2021 (Jitendra Bairagi Vs Hostech Eco Management Pvt. Ltd. (Indore) & Others) in compliance to the National Green Tribunal (Central Bench) order, June 7, 2021.

The unit was proposed as Common Biomedical Waste Treatment Facility (CBWTF) at village Kaliyadeh, tehsil Ghattiya, district Ujjain by M/s Hostech Eco Management Pvt. Ltd. without adopting the procedures laid down for the said purpose and against the public interest at large, the application said.

The Joint Committee report said that Consent to Establish was given by the Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board (MPPCB) to the unit under the Water Act 1974 and Air Act 1981, January 25, 2012. Further, public hearing of the project was conducted as per the provision of EIA Notification 2006. Environmental clearance has been obtained by the unit from the Madhya Pradesh State Environment Impact Assessment Authority. No objection certificate was issued by the Gram Panchayat Kaliyadeh and an NOC of the forest department was also obtained.

The unit had applied for consent to operate and authorization and it is proposed to be commissioned after obtaining the same, the report to the NGT, August 28, 2021 said.
