The Emissions Gap Report 2016

The Emissions Gap Report 2016 provides an authoritative assessment of the extent to which the current and planned national emissions reductions, as specified in the submitted Intended Nationally Determined Contributions, will contribute towards the Paris Agreement goals. It does so by providing an estimate of the additional reductions – the Gap - required by 2030 to be on a least-cost path that is likely to ensure the global temperature goals. The assessment focuses on the 2°C goal, as well as on the implications for limiting the temperature increase to 1.5°C.
